Hit a pothole or a curb? A bent wheel is one of the most common causes of a shake while driving or a tire that keeps losing air, and in most cases it doesn't need to be replaced. Our technicians straighten it back to its original shape, usually in 1–2 hours.
Bring the whole car and we'll take care of the rest, or just drop off the wheel. We'll give the wheel and tire a detailed inspection to confirm the problem, and we only go ahead with the repair if the wheel is truly bent. Once it's straightened, we check the tire, mount and balance it, and put the wheel back on your car, so Paragon is the only stop you need to make.
Signs your wheel is bent
A shake while driving
A vibration in the steering wheel or seat, often after hitting a pothole.
A tire that keeps losing air
A bent lip can stop the tire from sealing, so it slowly leaks even when the tire itself is fine.
A bend you can see
A flat spot or dent on the inside edge of the wheel.
Balancing doesn't fix it
If the shake comes back after balancing, the wheel itself can be out of round.

Questions
Paragon can straighten almost all wheels, including aluminum and steel.
Yes, bring the whole car to your appointment if that's best for you!
Yes. If we find a crack or a bend too severe to fix safely, we'll tell you before doing any work.
Most can. A wheel that is also cracked may need crack repair as well. Repairing a bend on the face of the wheel can sometimes leave cosmetic damage, which a full wheel restoration can fix. We'll explain your options and price before we start.
